Twenty-Two Voices, One Kampung

Some evenings don't need an agenda. Just a karaoke room, a table of snacks, a couple of microphones, and neighbours willing to sing. 22members came together for our KampungKin karaoke session.

Snacks on the table, microphones in hand: neighbours settle in for an evening of song.

Some came to sing. Some came to listen. Some came simply to be in a room full of familiar faces. Everyone left having spent an evening with neighbours rather than alone.

Taking turns at the mic, with the whole room singing along.

The most heartwarming moment came when Isabel joined us and crooned a few Bollywood numbers. The room loved every note.

Isabel takes the mic for a Bollywood number.

"I feel so honoured to join the event. Looking forward to your next one :)"

This is exactly how the community comes together.

No big budget and no grand programme. Just a shared song, a shared room, and people choosing to show up for one another. That is what KampungKin is built on: small moments of togetherness that, repeated often enough, make sure no one is left on the outside.

If you missed this one, there will be another. Bring your voice, or just bring yourself.

No caregiver alone. No senior forgotten.
